About

Touchstone Manor (previously known as the William Cox Inn) is a wedding and event venue with lodging accommodations, event spaces, a restored historic barn, and beautiful mountain & river views. We offer both indoor and outdoor event spaces for the day or entire weekend.

The history of Touchstone Manor starts circa 1770 when William Cox and his family constructed the first house on the property and was a part of the original land owned by Samuel Estes which formed Greene County (formerly known as Orange County in the 1700s).

Imagine your ultimate wedding weekend getaway at Touchstone Manor, designed exactly how you want it. Touchstone Manor is the empty canvas waiting for your palette of wedding ideas and inspiration.

It starts on Friday afternoon by welcoming guests to the property. Then spend the afternoon catching up with friends, decorating, lounging, playing games, swimming, napping and enjoying the mountains, river, and woods surrounding the property. Host your family and closest friends at a rehearsal dinner inside or under the stars. End the evening with a movie in the Theater Room or drinks in the Historic Wine Cellar.

Wake up on wedding day on-site and enjoy your coffee on the front porch or one of the Verandas. Spend time getting ready with the bridal party with wine or tea in the garden, wine cellar, or bridal suite. Invite your on-site guests to explore the property or local sites and attractions before the ceremony.

Exchange your vows overlooking the Shenandoah Mountains, the Roach River, the Historic Barn, in the Great Room, or some place special to you on the Property. Celebrate your wedding with all of your loved ones in one of the many Event Spaces in the Manor and on the Property.

Wake up on Sunday and enjoy the last morning with on-site guests by hosting a brunch before leaving Touchstone Manor as a married couple. Or stay longer and enjoy your honeymoon in the River Birch Cabin.

The owners and operators of Touchstone Manor were married in 2010 over a weekend in the Shenandoah Mountains. To this day their friends and families still talk about how much fun they had at the wedding.

Hosting all the wedding activities at one location provides more time with family and friends to create amazing memories.
