J&D farms is unlike any other farm wedding venue. The beautiful countryside, rolling pastureland, lush gardens, and unique Carriage House bridal suite alone make it noteworthy. However it’s vintage apple orchard along with the Dutch style barn are most certainly the most unique and outstanding features of the property. With it’s rough sawn timbers, 26ft vaulted ceilings, reclaimed heart pine floors, beautiful chandeliers and creative lighting, no detail has been overlooked. Through design and material selections, great effort was taken to give the barn a look and feel of a being a century old. The Apple Orchard, located on a small knoll just beside the barn, contains a grove of lovely old apple trees with low, sweeping branches. A colonnade is formed by the trees, leading to a charming cross tie bridge which is used by the bride to enter the grove on wedding day. Along with the barn, it’s the perfect celebration of the simplistic beauty of nature, with the vintage elegance of southern charm.
