Thank you for learning more about The Wedding Barn! John and Mary Ann Williams own and operate two wedding and event venues in their hometown of New Bern North Carolina. Since 2003, John has been a wedding photographer and in 2005 they bought their first small wedding venue property at the beach, but quickly realized that to have the scenery, space, and privacy brides want, it was too small. In 2008 they purchased and opened Abilena Plantation, a 1927 waterfront mansion and 5 acre estate. Abilena is the premier waterfront wedding venue in the area but John still dreamed of owning a barn like no other, a barn built just for weddings! The 12 acre property was purchased in 2014 for the wedding barn, and construction is almost complete. This venue will allow brides to have the beautiful barn wedding they want, while still having everything needed for a wedding of up to 200 guests. Unlike most barns that were not designed for a large group, The Wedding Barn is one huge open room of over 3500 square feet for incredible receptions and dancing into the night. The Wedding Barn has no time limit, so you can go as late as you want!
