The Woodlawn estate offers a variety of outdoor locations with beautiful gardens and gorgeous views and indoor locations with a classic and historical elegance. The event spaces can accommodate groups up to 300 for your wedding, corporate event, or any festive occasion.

In 1799, George Washington gave Woodlawn to his nephew, Lawrence Lewis, and his bride, Eleanor Custis, grandaughter of Martha Washington raised by the Washingtons. Tradition credits Eleanor Custis with introducing the lace veil and white dress into wedding fashion. Throughout Mrs. Lewis’ time and into the twentieth century, Woodlawn was renowned for the gracious hospitality of its hosts and the beauty of its historic and pastoral setting. We invite you to continue this tradition by holding your own ceremony, meeting, event or reception at this beautiful estate.
