South Farms, in Morris, Connecticut, is an 150-acre homestead that features an iconic 20,000 square foot dairy barn surrounded by picturesque open pastures. Now a fourth generation farm of the Paletsky Family, this venue has become a historic centerpiece of northwest Connecticut In addition to hosting events at The White Barn, South Farms operates a heritage breed grass-fed beef business, a corn maze, and hosts the Morris Marketplace, one of the states only farmers’ markets on a farm, attracting hundreds of guests to the farm each Sunday from 11am-2pm.
The White Barn at South Farms is on the State of Connecticut’s Registry of Historic buildings and the CT Historic Barn Trail. The area of the barn available for event space rentals consists of over 5000 square feet of unique indoor space, two connecting outdoor courtyards totaling 3600 square feet, and an adjacent 3-acre landscaped field with pond, gazebo, bridges, and trailways. Events can combine both indoor and outdoor space to create an unique country experience for up to 700 guests.
Approximately 1.5 hours north of New York City, the farm is located in the heart of bucolic Litchfield County at the intersections of Route 63 and Route 109. Less than a 5-minute drive from Winvian Resort, Arethusa Farm, White Flower Farm, White Memorial Conservation Center and the historic center of Litchfield, the farm’s location is at the epicenter of these globally recognized destinations.
