Flying Caballos Guest Ranch is located in the rolling hills of Edna Valley wine country 5 minutes from Downtown San Luis Obispo. The turn of the century farmhouse and property was restored into a breathtaking estate, creating an amazing canvas for photography. Flying Caballos features modern amenities blended with old world class. This magical place offers limitless possibilities to create your own unique experience. No other place on the Central Coast provides a completely private setting where family and friends can not only have a celebration, but also includes several overnight accommodations.
The main farmhouse is a 5 bedroom, two-story home that sleeps 12 guests. The beautiful yellow farmhouse is decorated with original furniture from the ranch but has been carefully updated with some modern conveniences (such as bathrooms!) to be enjoyed. The large yard offers overhead antique lighting, built in dance floor, 2 outdoor restrooms, 2 outdoor showers, permanent gas tiki torches encompassing the yard, large fire pit with seating, a fun saddle swing, built in wood BBQ, and outdoor speakers wired for parties. Another bonus amenity is the redwood hot tub.
The guesthouse and the cottage were built in 1952. Both are updated and decorated in the era of their time. Each has a private entrance, private fenced yard and a beautiful view of the Edna Valley. The guesthouse has 2 queen bedrooms, 2 private bathrooms and sleeps 4 guests. The cottage has a queen bed with a sofa sleeper that can also sleep 4.
We also have a water tower suite that is slightly set back from the other houses, perfect for a private getaway on your wedding night! It's a very artistic 1-bedroom, 3-story tower with hidden outdoor showers and unobstructed views of the Edna Valley.
There are plans to build a barn that will accommodate up to 200 guests. It will be built next to the creek with recycled barn wood and have a kitchen, stage, bathrooms, and a loft for changing. We can't guarantee the barn yet, but when it does get built, it will be an incredible bonus!
